Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Caregiver Assistant to join our team at Jonathan A. as a Child Caregiver.

About the Role

This is a temporary opportunity that requires working 35-40 hours per week, with the possibility of overtime. As a Family Caregiver Assistant, you will be responsible for providing top-notch care and support to children in a family setting. Your primary focus will be on creating a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring the physical, emotional, and educational well-being of the children in your care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assume full responsibility for household duties in the absence of parents.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning tasks to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Shop for groceries and household supplies as needed.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, taking into account any dietary restrictions or allergies.
  • Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children, promoting healthy habits and personal hygiene.
  • Discipline children according to the parents' requested methods, ensuring consistency and fairness.
  • Instruct children in social development and personal hygiene practices.
  • Keep accurate records of daily activities, including health information and milestones.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Take children to and from school, appointments, and extracurricular activities.
Requirements
  • You must have a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • A minimum of 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in childcare or a related field is required.
  • You must be physically able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and willing to travel regularly.
  • A valid CPR Certificate and First Aid Certificate are mandatory.
  • You should possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
Working Conditions

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks simultaneously, and prioritizing responsibilities. You will be required to work under pressure and adapt to changing situations as needed.

Salary

The estimated salary for this role is between $$$25,000 - $30,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
