Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join our team at Walters Group.

Company Overview:

Walters Group is a family-owned steel construction company with over 65 years of experience. We specialize in designing, fabricating, and constructing unique and complex commercial and industrial projects throughout North America.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the change management process, including notifications, submissions, and pricing.
  • Enter schedules and project updates into E2P.
  • Monitor project schedules and anticipate potential problems.
  • Track RFIs and approvals to ensure smooth processing.
  • Expedite changes to engineering, detailing, fabrication, and/or erection.
  • Attend project kick-off meetings and record meeting minutes.
  • Enter purchases into e-requestor.
  • Update the 'Project Updates' section on the company intranet.
  • Coordinate and track drawings; compile backup and issue progress drawings.
  • Report to clients as needed.
  • Provide project notifications.
  • Review project specifications and track items as required.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in engineering, project management, business administration, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of professional experience as a Project Coordinator.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Project/MS Office.
  • Knowledge of project management software (preferred).
  • Knowledge of structural steel fabrication, connections, and erection practices (preferred).
  • A team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Organizational skills and adaptability to manage changing priorities.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
