Jakes Pub and Grill seeks a Restaurant Operations Manager to oversee daily food service operations. This is a permanent, full-time position working 30-40 hours per week.

About the Role

This senior-level management role involves ensuring that all aspects of our restaurant operations meet quality standards, including food preparation, customer service, and inventory management. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, preferably as a supervisor or manager, with knowledge of business operations and staff supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish Operational Procedures: Develop and implement methods to ensure efficient workflow, stock control, and timely delivery of orders.
  • Maintain Quality Standards: Ensure that all food products and services meet Jakes Pub and Grill's high standards, following health and safety protocols and adhering to company policies.
  • Manage Budgets and Resources: Prepare accurate budgets, manage inventory, and monitor sales performance to maintain optimal profitability.
  • Customer Service: Address customer complaints promptly, providing solutions and follow-up to ensure satisfaction.
  • Staff Supervision: Lead and motivate a team of 3-4 employees, guiding their development, and recognizing outstanding performance.

  • Newcomer Support: Assist newcomers and refugees with credential recognition and help them integrate into the workforce.
  • Youth Training: Offer tailored on-the-job training for youth, enhancing their skills and employability.
  • Indigenous Support: Provide mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers, promoting diversity and inclusion.
  • Visible Minorities Policy: Apply hiring practices that promote equity, eliminating bias in the hiring process.
