Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our team at Randstad Canada. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling and maintaining various mechanical components, including fabricated parts, frames, conveyors, and robotic cells.

About the Role

This is a contract position offering a competitive salary range of $30-45 per hour. The successful candidate will work on a straight day shift in a state-of-the-art facility with an air-conditioned shop. Overtime is offered, providing opportunities for extra income.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and fit fabricated components, sub-components, frames, conveyors, and robotic cells as per drawings, specifications, instructions, and technical manuals.
  • Install, examine, troubleshoot, replace, or repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic assemblies.
  • Install brackets and hangers to support mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, or electrical equipment.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair plant production equipment and machinery as well as facility systems.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A licensed Journeyman Millwright, Red Seal 433A, or minimum 5 years equivalent work experience, preferably within a conveyor/custom equipment manufacturing environment.
  • The ability to understand fabrication drawings, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical circuit diagrams.
  • Experience with general fabrication processes.
  • Some familiarity with electrical circuit diagrams.
  • A forklift certificate is an asset.
  • Overhead crane experience/certification is an asset.
  • Scissor Lift training/certification is an asset.
