Fengate Asset Management is a leader in the field of commercial real estate management. As a Facilities Maintenance Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our diversified portfolio of buildings.

Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Maintenance Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of our commercial buildings, including:

  • Operating, maintaining, inspecting, and testing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, chemically treated water systems, and life safety equipment;
  • Responding to tenant requests and closing out work orders in a timely manner;
  • Maintaining daily operations logs and maintenance records;
  • Monitoring construction to ensure base building systems are protected and not altered or damaged;
  • Supervising outside contractors and staff as required to ensure completion of tasks with minimal disruption to tenants and the building;
  • Managing and maintaining clean, safe, and appealing buildings and property at all times, including but not limited to base building mechanical and maintenance areas;
  • Ensuring all Life and Safety documents are current, displayed, and practiced while performing duties;
  • Responding to emergency calls on a 24-hour basis for a group of commercial buildings on call basis;
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in building operations and maintenance in a commercial office and critical asset environment;
  • BES Level I certification;
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (oral and written), and organizational skills, with the ability to cope with changing client needs and deliver successful results within agreed-upon timeframes;
  • Detail-oriented problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve problems using facts and sound reasoning;
  • Self-motivation, professionalism, and flexibility, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • A friendly and courteous professional image;
  • Fire safety knowledge and WHMIS certification are assets;
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving abstract.
