Tax Planning Specialist

Vaco is seeking a highly skilled Tax Consultant to join their team for a 3-month duration. This role involves overseeing the preparation of Canadian income tax and information returns, coordinating with external advisors to manage U.S. income tax returns, and ensuring compliance with indirect tax obligations across all operating jurisdictions.
Responsibilities- Manage quarterly and annual tax provisions, including coordination with external auditors.
- Review GST, provincial sales tax, and U.S. sales tax returns.
- Liaise with external tax advisors and supply documentation for U.S. federal tax returns.
- Address tax-related inquiries from business units to support operational needs.
- Technical research and analysis skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to lead and manage complex projects.
- Knowledge of tax laws and regulations in Canada and the U.S.
