Job Opportunity: Senior Property Services Agent

The District of North Vancouver is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Property Services Agent to join their Real Estate and Properties department. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for coordinating complex land acquisition projects, preparing feasibility studies, and analyzing reports to provide recommendations to the District.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the development of land acquisition projects, including preparing complex appraisal and negotiation reports, feasibility studies, and analyses.
  • Perform complex appraisals for residential, commercial, and industrial land to be acquired for various purposes, gathering data from multiple sources and conducting field inspections.
  • Negotiate complex lease agreements, including new lease terms and renewals, with property owners and developers.
  • Supervise and lead interdisciplinary teams in land management, providing advice and guidance on land policy, real estate transactions, and related matters.
  • Assist in the coordination of section operations and programs, providing direction and guidance to Property Services Agents and consultants.
Requirements:
  • Completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Urban Land Economics or a related field, with substantial completion of coursework required for Accredited Appraiser – Canadian Institute certification, plus considerable related experience.
  • Eligibility for professional membership in the Real Estate Institute.
  • A valid BC Driver's Licence.
