Job Title: Registered Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Registered Early Childhood Educator to join our team at AKAL CHILD CARE. As a key member of our childcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to our young learners.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. This will involve creating engaging activities, supervising staff and trainees, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that promote the overall development of children
  • Supervise and train staff, trainees, or volunteers to ensure high-quality care and education
  • Lead activities that promote learning and development, such as storytelling, singing, and crafts
  • Encourage children to express their creativity and imagination through various activities
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and report to parents or supervisors
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a safe and healthy environment for children
  • Plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours
Requirements:
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience or equivalent experience
Work Environment:

This is a permanent position with a 30-44 hour workweek. The work environment is a child care centre, before and after school programs, day care centre, or nursery school.
