Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Procurement and Inventory Management Specialist to join our team at the Administrative Centre in Canada. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing the procurement and flow of materials to meet scheduled operating needs within budget.
Your duties will include:
- Managing suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts in accordance with customer priorities;
- Ensuring disposal of obsolete/inactive inventory;
- Coordinating inter-site demand as required;
- Reducing discrepancies and deviations from suppliers by proposing lasting solutions;
- Managing inventory levels and in-flow;
- Releasing planned orders to relevant purchasing documentation;
- Managing activities of non-conforming materials to meet schedule;
- Managing incoming shipments (traffic in-bound);
- Ensuring documentation compliance with internal and external regulations;
- Participating in improvement projects and demand-to-supply process;
- Supporting sourcing teams in negotiations and commodity projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- A bachelor's degree in administration or operations management;
- Five to eight years of experience in Materials or Inventory Management;
- Experience in external production (OP) an asset;
- Knowledge of SAP an asset;
- A strong sense of ethics and customer focus;
- Analytical, planning, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
