Job Title: Personal Support Worker - Nursing Care

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Support Worker to join our team at Essence Health Services Inc. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our clients in a nursing home setting.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing personal care and support to clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. You will also be responsible for maintaining a safe and clean environment, administering medications, and providing emotional support to clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care and support to clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment, including cleaning and disinfecting equipment and surfaces
  • Administer medications as prescribed by a healthcare professional
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, such as eating, toileting, and mobility
  • Document client care and progress in a timely and accurate manner
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods
