About the Role
As a Principal Security Solutions Architect at CDW, you will have the opportunity to leverage your expertise in security architecture to drive business growth and success. This role requires a strong understanding of the Cyber Security Market and key areas such as Endpoint Security, Cloud Security, Secure Access, IdAM, SIEM, Data Governance, Advisory Services, and Managed Security Services.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a Principal Architect within the Cyber Security Practice and the wider Solutions group, owning opportunities, engaging with customers, and winning business at enterprise-scale (70% of time).
- Support the development of the team and the wider department by contributing to team projects and helping junior team members achieve their career aspirations (15% of time).
- Develop and maintain your own skills and knowledge through research, self-guided learning, lab time, and formal training/accreditation (15% of time).
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 8-10 years in an IT consulting or senior IT operations role or within a technical pre-sales capacity or similar role with experience in designing complex solutions for a range and size of customers, within different verticals.
- Strong capabilities with at least two top-tier security vendors, such as Palo Alto, Cisco, Crowdstrike, Zscaler, Fortinet, Splunk, Check Point, or F5.
- Good knowledge in other security vendors such as Netskope, Mimecast, Proofpoint, Beyondtrust, CyberArk, Sophos, Okta, and Microsoft.
- Extensive security architecture knowledge and experience in planning, implementation, testing, creation, and rollout of security standards, policies, and procedures.
- Proficiency in written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing and presentations, with the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively, both internally and externally.
- Self-starter, flexible, adaptable, highly organized, and proactive, with the ability to remain calm in a fast-paced work environment and demonstrate thoughtful leadership in assessing problems/opportunities and recommending an approach to solving problems and pursuing opportunities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to obtain and maintain relevant industry-standard certifications.
- Security Vendor Accreditations will be advantageous.
- Independent and relevant certifications (such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH) are advantageous.
