Job Title: Intermediate Hydrogeologist

Vertex is seeking a highly skilled Intermediate Hydrogeologist to join our team in Sherwood Park or Calgary, Alberta. The successful candidate will have a strong background in hydrogeological assessment, groundwater monitoring, and geological mapping.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on environmental assessment projects
  • Develop and manage project-specific budgets and schedules
  • Supervise and train personnel on groundwater monitoring techniques and aquifer testing
  • Lead and support the preparation of proposals, scope development, and cost estimates
  • Facilitate projects, including mobilization, demobilization, and staffing requirements
Requirements:
  • Sc. or M.Sc. in Hydrogeology or a related physical science field
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer or Professional Geoscientist in Alberta (or equivalent)
  • 5+ years of project experience in hydrogeology, with direct experience in Alberta an asset
  • Inherent knowledge of hydrogeological processes and components
  • Demonstrated ability to provide leadership, mentorship, and manage small teams
  • Working knowledge of environmental regulations and guidelines
