Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Primary Health Care Clinic Nurse to join our team in Downtown Eastside Youth Outreach. This role offers the opportunity to provide primary health care services, including clinical nursing, health promotion and prevention, in inter-disciplinary clinic settings to clients of all ages.

About the Role

In this position, you will work collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team to consult, confer, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals/providers in the coordination of health services for clients and in the achievement of excellence in client-centred care and education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive knowledge of community health nursing theory and practice within a client and family centred model of care.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to promote health and prevent disease in clients of all ages.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to achieve excellent patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Two years' experience that includes recent community health and clinic nursing; experience working with clients of all ages including antepartum and postpartum women, infants, children and youth or, an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • The ability to speak a second language may be required and will be noted on the posting if required.
