The Opportunity

The People and Culture Business Partner is a key role within the People and Culture department, providing consultative services to ensure progressive people practices and a sustainable workforce capability in support of the College's strategic direction.

Role Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop strategic HR goals/plans supporting client's attainment of business strategies and operational goals, including research and learning objectives.
  • Relationship Management: Support senior leadership in providing and interpreting HR information required for vital decision making and budget preparation.
  • Customer Service: Lead complex matters such as grievances, terminations, return to work planning, and accommodation.
  • Talent Acquisition: Lead full-cycle recruitment and selection activities in collaboration with leadership.
  • Management: Lead, mentor, and coach the Administrator and Operations and Systems Specialist, People and Culture, in the development of knowledge, experience, and skills in support of HR services, processes, policies, and programs.
Requirements
  • A diploma or degree in a related field is required; a Bachelor Degree in Human Resources is preferred.
  • 5 to 7 years of diverse HR Generalist background required, with extensive experience in areas such as Diversity & Inclusion, Organizational Effectiveness, and Change Management.
  • Experience working in a post-secondary and unionized environment is preferred.
