Environmental Due Diligence and Risk Management Specialist

Magna International is seeking an experienced Environmental Due Diligence and Risk Management Specialist to join our Corporate Environmental Team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing and reporting on environmental programs related to operational risk, due diligence, data collection, and environmental metrics.
About the Role
The successful candidate will coordinate global due diligence activities with various departments and stakeholders, manage environmental remediation projects, support divisions in conducting investigations and construction activities with environmental implications, stay updated on environmental regulations, develop policies and procedures, and deliver presentations/training programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage global due diligence activities using a web-based platform to document and report findings, risks, and associated costs.
- Manage environmental remediation projects, including coordinating consultants, establishing and managing budgets and timelines, and communicating with regulators and other stakeholders.
- Support divisions in conducting necessary investigations and construction and real estate activities with environmental implications or risks.
- Stay updated on environmental regulations, develop policies and procedures, and deliver presentations/training programs.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience coordinating and managing environmental due diligence and remediation projects.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, chemistry, geology, or environmental science.
- Proficiency in conducting Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.
- Strong analytical and prioritization skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
- Demonstrated project coordination and management experience.

We estimate the salary for this position to be around $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
