About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Geological Technician to join our team at Waterline Resources Inc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting environmental audits, designing measures to minimize undesirable environmental effects of mining and oil and gas operations, and performing clerical duties such as maintaining filing and record systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct environmental audits and assessments to identify potential environmental risks and impacts
  • Design and implement measures to minimize undesirable environmental effects of mining and oil and gas operations
  • Perform clerical duties such as maintaining filing and record systems, preparing notes and sketches, and conducting research
  • Assist in hydrogeological field and laboratory studies, including sampling and data analysis
  • Direct and monitor the completion and evaluation of wells, well testing, and well surveys
  • Conduct studies of groundwater flow and contamination, and prepare reports
  • Plan, direct, and participate in analyses of geological, geochemical, and geophysical survey data, well logs, and other test results
  • Develop procedures to clean up contaminated sites and develop procedures for site remediation
Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field
  • Strong knowledge of geological and hydrogeological principles and practices
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
