About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Avionics Specialist to join our team at IMP Group. As an Avionics Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for performing aircraft maintenance, repairs, and overhaul applicable to your trade, and completing associated documentation in accordance with industry standards and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform aircraft maintenance, repairs, and overhaul applicable to your trade
- Complete associated documentation in accordance with industry standards and company policies
- Assist and coach junior technicians as required
- Strive to consistently act in a manner that reflects our company culture and values
- Perform all work tasks and ensure all repairs/modifications and inspection tasks are performed in accordance with customer check packages, Transport Canada Regulations, Technical Airworthiness Manual, Quality Control Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures, Process Standards, and scope of certification authority
- Ensure all paperwork, documentation, and reporting associated with a repair is completed accurately
- Provide coaching and leadership to junior technicians to ensure work tasks are performed efficiently and accurately, and that appropriate skills to progress in the trade are developed
- Ensure all work tasks are performed in accordance with our company health and safety policies and procedures
- Be familiar with, and ensure that all workplace conduct is in accordance with our company Human Resources, attendance, safety, and security policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as required
- Good communication skills: fluent written and verbal English is mandatory
- Basic Computer Skills: word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs
- Specific knowledge of manufacturing, maintenance, repair, and modification of aircraft or systems and components in the areas of Avionics
- Ability to ensure that approved standards of quality control are maintained
- Safe work practices and techniques
- Basic coaching and leadership skills
- Certificate in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (approved by TCA or the applicable governing body)
- 48+ months' experience performing AME duties
- Holder of AME license or equivalency
