Payroll Clerk

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to assist the Contact Manager in all aspects of the daily payroll function. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing new employee files, calculating payroll, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process new employee files and submit to the Contract Manager for approval.
- Calculate driver and staff payroll, and input payroll information into the computer for processing.
- Accurately track attendance for permanent part-time employees and maintain an accurate driver seniority list.
- Answer customer inquiries, distribute mail, and maintain office supplies.
- Assist in accurately tracking OT and reducing unnecessary punch hours.
- Verify standard hours to reduce additional driver hours.
Requirements:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates leadership qualities and is a self-starter.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task.
- Computer literacy, 10 Key, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
