Job Summary

Pet Valu Canada is seeking an IT contingency lead to develop and maintain the Information System Contingency Plan (ISCP).

The ideal candidate will manage the ISCP development by coordinating with subject matter experts and organizational elements responsible for related plans, such as the Incident Response Plan.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage the IT organization's disaster recovery strategy, plan, and implementation plans
  2. Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations to management for decision making purposes
  3. Develop and maintain comprehensive IT disaster recovery documentation, including runbooks and procedures
  4. Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities to IT systems and applications
  5. Assess the resilience of third-party solution providers and ensure their recovery times align with business requirements

Requirements

  1. University graduation or equivalent experience
  2. CBCP or CFCP certification is preferred; a PMP certification is desired
  3. Minimum of 7 years' experience in IT operations, with 3+ years dedicated to disaster recovery operations
  4. Understanding of current recovery solutions, high availability architectures, and crisis communication solutions
