Job Opportunity: Stroke/Neurological Rehabilitation Allied Health

St. Joseph's Health Care, London is seeking a skilled and compassionate Rehabilitation Therapist to join our team in a collaborative interprofessional environment.

Job Summary

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about delivering high-quality rehabilitation care to patients with stroke and neurological conditions. As a Rehabilitation Therapist, you will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, promoting optimal recovery and independence for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver occupational therapy and physiotherapy programs to patients with stroke and neurological conditions
  • Assist with implementing passive and active range of motion programs, functional mobility retraining, and other exercise programs
  • Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence
Requirements
  • Current Physiotherapy Assistant and Occupational Therapy Assistant diploma or dual OTA/PTA diploma from a recognized program
  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, physical and cognitive disabilities, and their potential impact on task performance
  • Experience with the implementation of occupational therapy and physiotherapy programs
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in French
  • Clinical experience and knowledge of the treatment of adult patients who have sustained a stroke or other neurological condition
