Job Description:


We are seeking an experienced Early Childhood Educator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing engaging child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.



Responsibilities:



  • Bathing, diapering, and feeding infants and toddlers
  • Developing and implementing child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Assisting early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Leading activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest
  • Encouraging children to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity
  • Engaging children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts
  • Guiding and assisting children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
  • Preparing snacks and arranging rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
  • Discussing progress and problems of children at staff meetings
  • Knowledge of licensing regulations
  • Establishing guidelines for behaviour
  • Establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children
  • Planning and maintaining an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children


Certifications and Licenses:



  • Emergency child care first aid and CPR
  • Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE)
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
  • Montessori Early Childhood Teacher Certificate
