About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at Connor Industries. As a Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating and repairing metal parts and products using various welding techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welding Operations
    • Interpret welding process specifications and operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment.
    • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals, and processes.
    • Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications.
  • Metal Fabrication
    • Operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines.
    • Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Maintenance and Repair
    • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in welding or a related field.
  • Work Environment
    • Fast-paced environment with attention to detail required.
    • Ability to work with heavy metals and equipment.
  • Physical Demands
    • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Personal Qualities
    • Team player with good hand-eye coordination.
