Job Summary

PCL is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Coordinator to join our team in Toronto, Ontario. As a key member of our HR team, you will play a critical role in supporting the coordination and administration of training and facilitation plans/programs, including professional designation support initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the coordination and administration of training and facilitation plans/programs, including professional designation support initiatives.
  • Provide support to the HR team in recruiting and onboarding practices (entry-to mid-level positions).
  • Provide administrative support to HR programs and policy administration as the first point of contact.
  • Participate in district HR strategic planning process and provide support on district-level projects/initiatives as assigned.
  • Assist with research and general administrative support pertaining to total rewards.
  • Provide administrative support for career management process and systems.
  • Maintain and prepare scheduled and ad hoc reporting as needed.
  • Provide implementation support to the district HR manager on corporate and regional initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related discipline preferred.
  • Working towards an HR designation preferred.
  • Some co-op/internship or relevant experience preferred.
  • Basic understanding of HR-related principles, practices, procedures, and employment legislation.
  • Ability to act with discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Ability to research and analyze information.
  • Able to work independently or in a team environment in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organizational skills, high level of detail orientation, and ability to multitask and prioritize conflicting deadlines.
  • Good networking skills with the ability to develop and maintain HR networks.
  • Results-oriented and able to meet deadlines.
