About This Role

This position requires a university degree in law, public safety, or a related field. The successful candidate will have at least 6 years' experience in law, public safety, or a related field, as well as 4 years' progressive experience supervising or managing staff.

Responsibilities

This role involves leading operations for the City, ensuring compliance with City By-laws, Policies, and select Government Statutes and Acts. You will support the Director, Public Safety, in developing strategic plans for efficient and effective public safety goals. Additionally, you will be responsible for administering the enforcement program, researching, developing, and evaluating policies and programs, operational and capital budgets, and team culture related to enforcement and public safety.

You Will Be Responsible For

  • Recruiting, evaluating, managing, and mentoring staff
  • Fostering a culture of accountability and excellence in accordance with City policies and collective agreements

Salary and Benefits

The starting salary for this position is $150,583 per year, accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package including a monthly housing allowance and a defined benefit pension plan.
