Cashier Clerk

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Retail Sales Clerk to join our team at Country Grocer Salt Spring Island. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating a cash register, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

• Operate a cash register and process sales transactions accurately and efficiently
• Provide customers with information about products and services, including promotions and discounts
• Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the sales floor, stockroom, and cash wrap
• Assist with receiving and stocking merchandise, including unloading trucks and rotating stock
• Work effectively as part of a team to achieve sales and customer service goals

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous retail experience an asset
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
