Accounting Technician Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Technician to join our team at 482258 BC Ltd. As an Accounting Technician, you will be responsible for performing various accounting tasks, including calculating and preparing cheques for payroll, keeping financial records, and establishing, maintaining, and balancing various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Payroll Processing: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees.
  • Accounting Tasks: Perform various accounting tasks, including journal entries, trial balance preparation, and reconciliation of accounts.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Requirements:
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma in accounting or related field.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in accounting or related field.
  • Skills: Proficient in enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, excellent oral and written communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
