Wine Industry Specialist

At Otter Co-op, we're seeking a skilled Wine Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our liquor store team, you'll be responsible for providing expert guidance and training to our staff and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance our wine and spirits offerings
- Provide coaching and training to staff on wine knowledge and sales techniques
- Host wine seminars and events to engage customers and promote our products
- Maintain a booking calendar for private functions and educational classes
- Contribute to the team's commitment to excellence, community, and integrity
Requirements:
- Experience in the wine industry, preferably in a retail or hospitality setting
- Strong knowledge of wine and spirits, including product knowledge and sales techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to manage computer files efficiently
