Head Chef for Peter's Family Restaurant

We are seeking a highly skilled Head Chef to join our team at Peter's Family Restaurant. As a key member of our culinary staff, you will be responsible for planning and preparing delicious meals for our customers.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in a similar role and a passion for delivering exceptional cuisine. You will work closely with our kitchen team to ensure that all dishes are prepared to a high standard and presented in an appealing manner.
Main Responsibilities- Determine Food Portion Sizes and Costs: Plan and prepare complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring that portion sizes are accurate and costs are minimized.
- Menu Planning and Requisitioning: Plan menus and estimate food requirements, requisitioning food and kitchen supplies as needed.
- Cooking and Presentation: Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef, ensuring that all dishes are presented in an appealing manner.
- Kitchen Management: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean kitchen and work areas, organizing buffets and banquets as required.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in a similar role.
- Cuisine Specialties: International cuisine.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to handle heavy loads, physically demanding tasks, and repetitive tasks.
- Personal Suitability: Dependability, excellent oral communication skills, flexibility, initiative, organized, team player, time management, and work term: permanent.
The salary for this position is approximately $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
