- Prepare specifications of custom-made cabinets that maximize storage.
- Shape surfaces or edges of wood workpieces using hand tools.
- Study plans, specifications, or drawings of articles to be made.
- Operate CADD and other computer software systems.
- Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete units and reinforce joints.
- Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Estimate costs and materials.
- Repair or restyle wooden furniture, fixtures, and related products.
Requirements:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the field.
- Manual dexterity.
- Attention to detail.
- Standing for extended periods.
- Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) weight handling.
- Tools and equipment.
- Organized and team player.
