Overview of Opportunity

Mills Memorial Hospital is seeking an experienced psychiatrist to join their mental health team in Terrace, British Columbia. This opportunity offers a chance to work in a dynamic environment with a collaborative team and contribute to the well-being of patients in the community.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing psychiatric services to patients in Mills Memorial Hospital and the Northern Health Mental Health Program. Key duties include conducting patient assessments, developing treatment plans, and participating in educational activities to advance effective treatment strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Assessments and Treatment Planning
  • Ongoing Patient-Centered Consultation
  • Educating Physicians and Interdisciplinary Teams
  • Participating in Provision of Continuum of Psychiatric Services
Requirements
  • Current College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) License - Provisional
  • Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) - Mandatory
  • Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) - Eligible

Terrace is a vibrant community with a population of 31,000, offering a family-friendly lifestyle and affordable housing. Mills Memorial Hospital is a fully accredited, 44-bed acute care facility that serves the Northwest region of British Columbia.

Compensation Package
  • Estimated Remuneration: $400,000 plus
  • Fee-for-Service Compensation Type
  • Zero Overhead for Physician

  • Vacation Leave: 6-8 weeks annually, including CME
  • May be eligible for additional remuneration under the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA)
