Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Blinds Assembler-Installer to join our team at Jennifer Allan Interiors. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for installing interior prefabricated products, ensuring professionalism in customer service, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install interior prefabricated products, including blinds and window treatments, to meet customer specifications.
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements and ensure accurate installation.
  • Repair and service interior prefabricated products, including blinds and window treatments.
  • Determine layout and installation procedures to ensure efficient and safe work practices.
  • Document and prepare invoices and work orders, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks.
  • Measure and mark guidelines to be used for installations, ensuring precision and accuracy.
  • Prepare and maintain work materials and supplies, including hand and power tools.
  • Load and unload trucks with supplies and equipment, ensuring safe and efficient transportation.
  • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms, ensuring a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • First Aid Certificate and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Valid driver's licence and own transportation or ability to use employer-supplied vehicle.
  • Ability to work at heights, in a physically demanding environment, and handle heavy loads.
  • Excellent oral communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
