We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Manager to join our team at School District #40 (New Westminster). As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for our staff and students.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective health and safety policies and procedures
- Conduct regular workplace inspections and risk assessments
- Provide training and education to staff on health and safety protocols
- Investigate incidents and near-misses, and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g. occupational health and safety, risk management)
- Proven experience in a health and safety role, preferably in an educational setting
- Strong knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
