Project Coordinator: Child Development Champion

Job Summary:
The Early Childhood Development Association of PEI is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Project Coordinator to lead the Handle with Care program. This is a full-time position commencing August 2024 until March 31, 2025, with a one-year contract and possible extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Handle with Care program, ensuring its integrity and alignment with the ECDA's mission and values.
- Collaborate with ECDA staff, Master Trainers, and facilitators to achieve program goals.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community partners.
- Coordinate facilitator gatherings, professional development, and database management.
- Chair and report to the Handle with Care Advisory Committee.
- Ensure timely completion of tasks, meeting deadlines, and adhering to contractual agreements.
- Review and approve grant applications, payments, and final reports.
- Stay up-to-date on child development and resiliency science.
- Co-facilitate four programs per fiscal year.
Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in a field related to working with children and families.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with children and families.
- Valid driver's license and clear criminal record check.
- Project management experience and Handle with Care facilitation (an asset).
Benefits:
- Hourly wage range: $22.00 - $30.00, commensurate with experience and education.
- Full-time position with benefits, including health and dental coverage, professional development opportunities, and a travel stipend.
Working Conditions:
- Evening and weekend requirements.
- Travel required, with reimbursement provided.
