Job Summary

Allonnia Canada ULC seeks a Biotechnology Research Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree and 2 years of experience in the field.

About the Role

  • We are seeking a skilled professional to supervise laboratory technical personnel, medical clinical personnel, graduate students, research scientists, and other professionals.
  • The successful candidate will participate in the commercialization of new products, perform administrative tasks, and supervise biological technologists and technicians.
  • This role also involves conducting research in biotechnology to discover, develop, refine, and evaluate new products.
  • Additional responsibilities include organizing conferences and meetings, preparing research papers, educational texts, or articles, conducting literature reviews, delivering presentations at conferences, workshops, or symposia, monitoring and compiling research results, and conducting tests and analysis using spectroscopy techniques.

Responsibilities

Supervise laboratory technical personnel, medical clinical personnel, graduate students, research scientists, and other professionals.

Participate in the commercialization of new products.

Perform administrative tasks.

Supervise biological technologists and technicians.

Conduct research in biotechnology to discover, develop, refine, and evaluate new products.

Organize conferences and meetings.

Prepare research papers, educational texts, or articles.

Conduct literature reviews.

Deliver presentations at conferences, workshops, or symposia.

Monitor and compile research results.

Conduct tests and analysis using spectroscopy techniques.

Conduct sampling and analysis using chromatography techniques.

Develop and implement projects related to product development, industrial processes, and biological studies.

Demonstrate expertise in analysis and non-destructive testing and biotechnology.

Manage and coordinate multiple projects and priorities.

Promote a safe working environment and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Cultivate effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.

Evaluate and report on project progress and outcomes.

Communicate project plans, goals, and timelines to stakeholders.

Represent the company at conferences and events.

Maintain accurate records and databases.

Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in biotechnology, biology, chemistry, or a related field.
  • 2 years of experience in biotechnology research and development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Results-oriented and deadline-driven.
  • Familiarity with relevant software applications and technology.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
