Job Description

We are seeking a Dining Room Assistant to join our team at Superior Pizza and Wings. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the dining area is clean and welcoming.

Key Responsibilities
  • Bring clean dishes, flatware, and other items to serving areas and set tables.
  • Clean and clear tables, trays, and chairs in a timely manner.
  • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware.
  • Place dishes in storage areas after cleaning.
  • Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas.
  • Keep records of the quantities of food used.
  • Package take-out food efficiently.
  • Portion and wrap foods for customers.
  • Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items as needed.
  • Serve customers at counters or buffet tables with a smile.
  • Take customers' orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
  • Handle and store cleaning products safely.
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash regularly.
  • Sharpen kitchen knives as needed.
  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean environment.
  • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit for preparation.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • No prior experience is required, as we provide comprehensive training.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliability and dependability in meeting deadlines.
  • Initiative and ability to multitask effectively.
  • Efficient time management and organizational skills.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

This role requires working in a physically demanding environment with frequent lifting, bending, and standing. You must also be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
