Overview of the Accounting Technician Role

We are seeking a highly skilled accounting technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing payroll cycles, maintaining employee records, and providing excellent customer service.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 per year, based on industry standards in the Chambly area. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including group insurance coverage, flexible hours, and four weeks of vacation time.

Job Description
  • Process weekly payroll cycles for CAD and USA employees
  • Maintain accurate records of employee attendance, leave, and overtime
  • Prepare and verify employee statements and employment records
  • Respond to payroll inquiries and resolve issues within your scope of responsibility
  • Participate in improving and optimizing payroll processes
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Diploma in Accounting (DEP or DEC) or equivalent market experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar position
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel and MS Office suite
  • Proficiency in French (spoken and written) and functional English
