Job Summary

Meltwich is seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, ensuring their safety and satisfaction.
  • Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitians or chefs, demonstrating attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Order supplies and equipment, maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Clean kitchen and work areas, ensuring a clean and organized environment.
  • Organize buffets and banquets, showcasing your creativity and attention to detail.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Basic security clearance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Physical demands of the job include standing for extended periods, working under pressure, and maintaining a high level of energy and focus.
  • Flexibility, organized, reliability, and a team player mindset are essential for success in this role.
