Exciting Opportunity for a Veterinary Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team at Shamrock Veterinary Clinic in Comox, BC.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments, ensuring the highest level of care for our patients.
  • Create a warm and welcoming environment for our pet parents, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Contribute to a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our patients and adapt to changing situations with ease.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties, maintaining the cleanliness of reception areas, pet holding areas, and common spaces.
  • Develop a willingness to learn more about veterinary services, updated medical office procedures, and assisting the veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments.
  • Demonstrate compassion and a nurturing attitude in all interactions with patients, clients, and colleagues.
  • Take initiative and work independently, utilizing problem-solving skills to address challenges.
  • A Veterinary Assistant (VA) or Veterinary Office Assistant (VOA) program certificate is an asset.
