We are seeking an exceptional Executive Chef to lead our culinary team at Very Good Congee & Noodle. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of food preparation and presentation, ensuring exceptional quality and consistency in every dish.
About the RoleThis is a challenging and rewarding position that requires a seasoned chef with outstanding leadership skills. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing menus that showcase our restaurant's unique cuisine
- Sourcing high-quality ingredients and managing inventory to minimize waste
- Maintaining impeccable kitchen hygiene and safety standards
- Supervising and training junior chefs to ensure seamless execution of dishes
- Collaborating with our management team to drive business growth and customer satisfaction
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience as a senior chef, preferably in a fast-paced environment like ours. You should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire your team to deliver exceptional results.
Key QualificationsTo succeed as our Executive Chef, you will need:
- 5+ years of experience in a senior chef role, preferably in a high-volume restaurant
- Demonstrated expertise in menu planning, food costing, and inventory management
- Excellent leadership and training skills, with a proven track record of developing talent
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus benefits including health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
