Executive Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Specialist to join our team at Compass Canada. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food products in accordance with our corporate standards, guidelines, and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Food Preparation: Prepare, pre-cook, and/or cook food products as directed, ensuring high-quality food service is provided at all times.
- Mise en Place: Prepare 'mise en place' (setting in place of foods, garnishes, sauces, dishes, cutlery, etc.) and other products as required for high-volume production.
- Cleanliness and Sanitation: Clean kitchen equipment after use according to health and safety policies and procedures.
- Inventory Management: Label, date, store, and rotate food and beverage products in appropriate storage areas.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with all operational departments.
- Reporting: Report needed maintenance, faulty equipment, or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
- Culinary Experience: Proven cooking experience, including experience as a restaurant cook or prep cook.
- Certifications: Food Safety Certification required.
- Education: Certificate from a recognized cooking school.
- Skills: Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Accuracy and Speed: Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiar with industry's best practices.
- Teamwork: Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Physical Ability: Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
