Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

Fortinet is seeking a skilled Cloud Specialist to join our FortiStack Platform team based in Canada. This team is responsible for designing, building, developing, and supporting our open source based private cloud infrastructure. This position would represent a great fit for OpenStack specialists with a combination of virtualization, OpenStack, storage and networking experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, support and develop the infrastructure of global private cloud.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems, both individually and as part of the broader team.
- Focus on continuous improvement - always be looking for improvement, automation and optimization opportunities from the cloud.
- Actively share knowledge across the team and support your peers.
Required Skills:
- Multiple years of experience in production platform deployment, maintenance and operation with the following knowledge and capabilities. OpenStack Computing virtualization (KVM, libvirt) Networking virtualization (OVS, OVN) Shared storage (Ceph)
- Linux server administration (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.)
- Networking administration and industry standard protocols
- Infrastructure monitoring (Prometheus, ElasticSearch, Grafana, Zabbix, etc.)
- Cloud platform interface management and operation.
- At least one programming/scripting language (Python, Bash, etc.)
- Excellent ability to organize, multitask, work individually and in a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
The salary range for this full-time position is expected to be between $81,000 - $110,000 annually. Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labour market, job type, and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, and experience.
