About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Staff Accountant or Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, tax, and auditing, with a minimum of 2-4 years of experience in Canadian public accounting. They will be responsible for applying complex accounting concepts to various client situations, preparing compilation files, and providing comprehensive client accounting services.

The successful candidate will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and management. They will be proficient in researching issues, proposing recommendations, and staying up-to-date with applicable standards and regulations.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Successful completion of the CFE at a minimum
  • 2-4 years of Canadian public accounting experience with private corporations in review engagements and NTR files
  • Proficiency in researching issues and proposing recommendations under applicable standards
  • Expertise in preparing complex T1, T2, and T3 tax returns
  • Strong technical knowledge of ASPE and tax compliance/planning
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, CaseWare, and Taxprep
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
Benefits

Determining compensation for this role depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;
  • office location and other geographic considerations;
  • other business and organizational needs.

We believe that the following salary range reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position: $85,000 - $95,000 per year. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
