We are seeking an experienced Recruitment Specialist to join our team at the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board. As a Recruitment Specialist, you will play a key role in managing all aspects of internal and external recruitment, selection processes across a diverse range of employee groups.

Job Summary:

The incumbent will be responsible for developing and implementing creative strategies to reach high-quality talent pools while ensuring recruitment and selection processes are barrier-free, fair, equitable, open, and transparent.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Organize and manage all aspects of internal and external recruitment and selection processes;
  2. Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent;
  3. Ensure accurate processing of wage and salary administration in compliance with collective agreements and board policies;
  4. Administer and coordinate system-wide internal staffing processes in accordance with provincial legislation and collective agreement language;
  5. Provide timely and accurate advice on recruitment strategies, staffing policies, employment legislation, and collective agreements;
  6. Work in partnership with other members of the Human Resources Department to support changes in employee status and staff transitions.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management or equivalent experience;
  • Minimum three years of recruitment experience, preferably in a dedicated Human Resources position;
  • CHRP, CHRL, or RPR designation is considered an asset;
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating recruitment and selection processes for unionized and non-unionized employee groups;
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience in human resources practices and processes, relevant provincial and federal legislation, and collective agreements;
  • Knowledge of Human Resources, Payroll, and Benefit processes.

Working Conditions:

This is a 1-year contract position. The successful candidate must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access is an asset.

Salary: PASS 5 ($63,430 - $79,286)
