Job Description

Box Bus Inc is seeking experienced Van Driver Owner Operators to join our team in Calgary. As a Van Driver Owner Operator, you will be responsible for delivering packages and goods to customers in the Calgary area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Vehicle Requirements: You must provide a reliable and well-maintained Cargo Van or Minivan for the work. The ideal vehicle is a Sprinter, Transit, Promaster, or Caravan.
  • Delivery Routes: You will be assigned a specific delivery route in Calgary, which will be completed within a 7-9 hour day. The typical km/day is 100, and the routes are dense.
  • Payment Structure: You will be paid based on the number of stops you make and the distance you travel. A typical day is 80-100 stops, and you can earn $300-$400/day. During peak months, you can earn up to $500/day or more.
  • Benefits: As a Van Driver Owner Operator, you will have the opportunity to work as an essential worker, even during lockdowns. You will also have access to bonuses during peak season.
  • Requirements: To be eligible for this position, you must have a valid driver's license, a safety vest, and hard-toe shoes/boots. You must also have winter/all-weather tires and be able to safely get in and out of your van multiple times a day.
  • Preferred Qualifications: We prefer candidates with 1+ year of courier experience in the Calgary area, customer service background, and excellent English communication skills.
Requirements:
  • Safety Vest: You must wear a safety vest at all times while working at the warehouse.
  • Hard-toe Shoes/Boots: You must wear hard-toe shoes/boots at all times while working at the warehouse.
  • Winter/All-Weather Tires: You must have winter/all-weather tires on your vehicle.
  • Vehicle Requirements: You must provide a reliable and well-maintained Cargo Van or Minivan for the work.
  • Driver's License: You must have a valid driver's license.
  • Relatively Clean Driver Abstract: You must have a relatively clean driver abstract.
  • No DUI/DWI or Suspensions: You must not have any DUI/DWI or suspensions within the past five years.
  • Able to Pass a Criminal Background Check: You must be able to pass a criminal background check.
  • Excellent English Communication Skills: You must have excellent English communication skills.
