About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Services Worker to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. As an Environmental Services Worker, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and functional environment for patients, families, staff, and visitors.

Your key responsibilities will include cleaning all units as assigned, including patient rooms and public areas. This will involve mopping, dusting, and vacuuming furniture, floors, and stairways, as well as buffing, scrubbing, and refinishing floors. You will also be responsible for moving and arranging furniture and changing curtains and drapes.

In addition to your technical skills, we are looking for someone who can demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will work closely with other members of our team to ensure that our facilities are maintained to the highest standards.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong commitment to promoting a culture that supports safety, ethical practices, and organizational health. You will also need to be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

We offer a competitive salary range of $19.26-$20.02 per hour, depending on experience. Successful candidates may also be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
