Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Instructor II - Environmental Education to join our team at Conservation Halton. As a key member of our conservation programs team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality educational programs to diverse audiences, promoting environmental awareness and conservation practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver engaging educational programs for various age groups and audiences, focusing on environmental education and conservation.
  • Collaborate with our team to design and implement innovative programs that meet the changing needs of our community.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of interpretative displays, signage, and educational materials.
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive experience for our visitors.
  • Work collaboratively with our team to achieve our conservation goals and objectives.
  • Perform related duties as required to support the success of our conservation programs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in education, environmental science, ecology, or a related field.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Experience in environmental education, teaching, or outdoor education.
  • Proven commitment to providing superior customer service and promoting environmental awareness.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Successful candidates will be required to provide a Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) as a condition of employment.
