Pet Valu Franchise Business Developer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to fill the role of Franchise Business Developer at Pet Valu. This is a full-time position based in Alberta.
Estimated Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on experience.
About the Role:The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth and operational excellence across our franchise locations in Calgary and South Alberta.
Main Responsibilities:
- To develop and implement individual business strategies for all stores in the area, focusing on team growth, financial objectives, and operational excellence.
- Transferring best practices from one franchisee to another within the region, ensuring consistency and quality across all locations.
- To monitor performance, suggest improvements, and remove obstacles where possible, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration between franchisees and corporate teams.
- Communicating and promoting new product launches, vendor promotions, and marketing initiatives to drive sales and revenue growth.
- To train and assist franchisees in merchandising store stock, ensuring optimal visual displays and customer engagement.
- Identifying and documenting best practices for general distribution and communication within the chain, enhancing overall efficiency and effectiveness.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- A college-level graduate degree in a related field (Business, Retail, or Marketing) or extensive retail experience with a proven track record in operations management.
- Minimum 2-3 years of retail chain experience at a district or multi-store management level, leading 10+ stores in a large retail chain.
- Strong retail visual merchandising skills, with the ability to work independently, organize tasks, and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
- Able to operate a computer, MS Office products, cash register, and point-of-sale software.
- Must hold a current driver's license and be able to drive, with occasional overnight trips and weekend work required.
