Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef de Partie to join our culinary team at Post Hotel & Spa. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of dishes, collaborating with our Executive Chef to develop menu items, and mentoring junior staff to ensure high levels of skill and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute and oversee the preparation of dishes within the assigned section, ensuring high-quality presentation and consistency.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to plan and develop menu items, incorporating creative ideas and seasonal specials.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet restaurant standards.
- Monitor food quality, presentation, and consistency, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist in inventory management, ordering, and stock rotation for the assigned section, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Contribute to menu tastings, special events, and culinary promotions, showcasing your culinary expertise.
- Collaborate with other kitchen team members to ensure smooth service during peak hours, maintaining a positive and productive team environment.
Qualifications
- Culinary diploma or equivalent qualification, with proven experience as a Chef de Partie in a high-end restaurant or similar establishment.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, presentation, and kitchen management, with excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment, with a creative flair and passion for culinary arts.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations, with the ability to stand for extended periods and work in a high-pressure kitchen environment.
