Job Title: Cashier (Part-Time)

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Cashier (Part-Time) to join our team at Giant Tiger in Moose Jaw. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating electronic cash registers, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide a high level of customer service, ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers.
  • Accurately record customer transactions, process returns, and handle customer complaints in a professional manner.
  • Replenish merchandise around the checkout area, maintaining a well-stocked and visually appealing environment.
  • Follow up on hot selling items, complete markdowns, and perform SKU changes as required.
  • Perform cycle counts, maintain planograms, labels, tickets, and signing standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies, including those related to tobacco and lottery sales.
  • Follow health and safety policies and guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
Requirements:
  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to handle a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work a mix of days, evenings, and weekends, with a typical part-time schedule of up to 24 hours per week.
Physical Demands:

The physical demands of this position include standing and walking for long periods, bending, twisting, and squatting, as well as lifting and moving up to 18 kg (40 lbs.).
