Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Mechanical Engineer and Team Lead to join our team at Williams Engineering Canada. As a key member of our engineering group, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and technologists to support the ongoing growth of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage, motivate, train, and mentor direct reports according to company policies and best practices.
- Oversee the design process, provide effective options, and solutions to design problems.
- Communicate effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative solutions.
- Lead, provide input to others, and help prepare project proposals.
- Work with the leaders of other disciplines and business units for mutual benefit and to advance WE's interests.
- Mitigate WE's risk exposure on projects and protect client relationships.
- With input from others, forecast workload for staffing targets and participate in recruitment and termination of teammates.
- Manage cost and time components of the team's work to ensure profitability.
- With input from others, analyze existing data to forecast business decisions regarding budget forecasting, budget variances, client profitability, risk management, and report findings to the Regional Business Manager and Engineering Director as appropriate.

Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in buildings consulting engineering.
- Strong technical foundation in HVAC design.
- Valid class 5 driver's license.
